Engineering Services

For the best possible support of our customers, we offer you a variety of options for incorporating ROHACELL® even more efficiently in your design work.

  • At our Sandwich Technology Center (STC), we can arrange prototype construction and small production runs, conduct all kinds of sandwich structure testing and experiments, e.g. thermoforming, liquid composite molding and autoclaving. In addition, we provide our customers with samples and offer customer training.
  • In our ROHACELL® SHAPES department we produce net shaped foam cores with high precision, to any geometry you require. This can be done either by CNC machining or thermo forming. Our competences include:
    • Engineering service: ftp.site data transfer, CAD data transfer to NC data 2D/3D, generating NC data, prototype and serial production
    • Pre-process management: moisture management, drying, heat treatment
    • Thermoforming: cold/hot forming, thermoforming tool concept
    • NC machining: 4 axis / 5 axis
    • Quality management: First Article Inspection (FAI), certificate of conformity for each delivery, digital measurement with “FARO” arm, process control documentation, reproducible quality
    • Logistics: just in time, ready to use, optimized packaging concept

  • We also support you in computer-aided component design, using the finite element method (Design and Analysis). This uses a three-dimensional failure criterion that has been specially developed for ROHACELL® applications.
