High Temperature Filtration

The outstanding thermal and chemical properties of P84 polyimide fibres result in extremely efficient material for filtration. Operating temperatures up to 260 °C and harsh chemical environment can be handled. Due to its fully aromatic structure it has an high chemical resistance to corrosive components in the flue gas providing a long service life of filter media.
The highest specific surface of all fibres available ensure an outstanding collection efficiency of particles. For this reason P84 is also used in fibre blends with the intention to raise the filtration efficiency at critical applications .
P84 is successfully installed in cement plants for dedusting the kiln off gases, in municipal solid waste incinerators, in coal fired boilers, …..
Fibre blends with PTFE and PES, PAN Procon are used for cement mill dedusting, coal fired boilers, etc...
